Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy

Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapists are awarded their title by the Australian College of Physiotherapists and are thus entitled to use the official title of "specialist" and can be recognized by their fellowship status with the letters F.A.C.P (Fellow of the Australian College of Physiotherapists).

They have elite expertise in the physiotherapy management of musculoskeletal disorders. Specialist musculoskeletal physiotherapists have undertaken advanced specialty training and undergone rigorous oral and clinical examinations to be awarded this fellowship, so it is important to understand the different levels of expertise within the physiotherapy profession.

There are three levels of clinical expertise within musculoskeletal physiotherapy: generalist physiotherapists with an interest in musculoskeletal therapy, titled musculoskeletal physiotherapists, and Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapists.
